The X-Lectic: Organized Chaos by XoC
XoC Presents: The X-Lectic: Organized Chaos is my first full album release since 2019, and in many ways, it represents years of unfinished creativity finally coming to life. The album began as a collection of older beats, demos, verses, concepts, hooks, and experimental ideas that had been sitting in archives for years, some dating back decades. Using modern AI tools as creative collaborators rather than replacements, I revisited those ideas and rebuilt them into fully realized songs spanning multiple genres, moods, and styles. Many of the tracks began with my original lyrics, flows, vocal recordings, and production concepts. I often recorded guide vocals myself, then used AI performers to reinterpret those performances in new styles and genres while still preserving the emotion, cadence, phrasing, and personality of the originals. The result became something that felt both nostalgic and completely new at the same time. Throughout the process, a handful of collaborators also contributed ideas, alternate directions, and creative suggestions that I would reshape, reinterpret, and fuse back into the music through my own perspective. The album became an evolving conversation between old ideas, new technology, outside perspectives, and pure experimentation. The X-Lectic is intentionally eclectic. Jazz-hop, boom bap, soul, dystopian soundscapes, Afro-inspired rhythms, cinematic textures, experimental storytelling, humor, paranoia, philosophy, and raw emotion all collide together here. Organized Chaos is exactly what it sounds like: a collection of wildly different creative energies somehow finding a common identity. Where my previous albums was me showcasing my lyrical rapping abilities, this project is showcasing all the different styles and creative voices I had inside me waiting to be released. At its core, this project is about freedom. Freedom to experiment. Freedom to revisit unfinished thoughts. Freedom to create without limitation. And freedom to let decades of scattered creativity finally speak in full.
